We are excited to announce that Mecklenburg County has approved a Dog Park for Fourth Ward.
Where: 9th Street (the former playground) near Graham St.
When: Projected time of completion is Spring of 2021
We are thankful to the Fourth Ward Dog Park Committee, Chair- Shirley Cress Dudley, and all of the Fourth Ward Residents who participated in the Zoom calls with Mecklenburg County Parks and Rec Committee. This process began in August 2018 and is now approved by the county, with county funds approved to pay for it. A decision has been made by the county, due to numerous resident input, to make the park solely dedicated to dogs. We will keep you informed as more information becomes available.
