Membership Qualifications

Any individual of legal age who is a resident of Fourth Ward and subscribes to the purposes of the Corporation and complies with any other lawful membership requirement issued by the Board of Directors may become a Resident Member of the Corporation.

Fourth Ward shall be defined, for purposes of these bylaws, as that area of real property bound by I-277 on the north, Tryon Street on the east, Trade Street on the south and the Norfolk and Southern railroad tracks on the west.

Any non-resident individual of legal age who owns real property within Fourth Ward and subscribes to the purposes of the Corporation and complies with any other lawful membership requirement issued by the Board of Directors may become an Associate Member of the Corporation. Corporations, limited liability companies, commercial establishments, or other similar business entities may become a Commercial Member of the Corporation, subject only to compliance with the provisions of these Bylaws and such other lawful membership requirement issued by the Board of Directors. Membership in the Corporation shall be available without regard to race, gender identity, creed or national origin. The use of any masculine or feminine gender term herein shall be deemed to include the other as well.
